Why do we do this to ourselves?

So, I know I haven't posted in a while. Sorry about it. Nothing much to report honestly. My life is not all too exciting. So much so that my post today is actually about being sick. Yup, that's how I spent most of today. Feeling like this. I don't know if it's the flu. I'm achy all over. Pretty sure I've had a fever most of the day. And when I woke up, my throat felt like it was closed off. I actually stayed home from church and slept through the entire morning. Which brings up my point of why do we do this to ourselves? Am I the only one that has an absolute hard time "calling in sick"? Okay, I know today was church, but actually giving myself a break from something to try and recooperate when I'm feeling sick, it rarely happens. Does it have something to do with our society? We're such workaholics. But at the same time, what's going to happen if we don't take care of ourselves? Very good question. So, if anyone can answer me why I do this to myself, please let me know. And then we can all wonder - If I wake up tomorrow feeling like I am now, what are the chances that I'll call in sick to work.......

I think it's just a trait of people who are hard-workers and don't want to let anyone down.

I hope you get feeling better! We send our love!

It stinks to be sick. Especially when you have things that need done. I don't know why we can't take a real sick break, it is too sad, but I do hope you feel better, or at least get a little break, you deserve one!
